We believe that access to justice begins with access to information – enhanced by technologies. Further to this commitment, we make available a copy of the Anambra State Igbo Apprenticeship Law, 2025, effective 10 September 2025.
Anambra State Igbo Apprenticeship Law, 2025, provides for the regulation of the Igbo Apprenticeship System (‘Igba boi’ and Trainee) and for related matters.
The law represents a landmark step by the Anambra State Government to recognise the Igba boi system formally. A globally celebrated Igbo apprenticeship model that has driven entrepreneurship and wealth creation for generations.
The State Government’s pioneering legislation provides a statutory framework for Igbo apprenticeship agreements, welfare standards, dispute resolution, and settlement obligations.
By publishing this law, we aim to support entrepreneurs, apprentices, schools, and communities with free access to the text, enabling broader awareness and deeper understanding of its provisions.
